Canon Precision Inc. Privacy Protection Policy
Canon Precision Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") recognizes the personal information (hereinafter referred to as the "Information") as the important asset, and is highly committed to protecting the information by the implementation of the personal information protection policy below.
1. Compliance of laws and other regulations relating to personal information protection
The company observes all laws relating to the protection of personal information, and other regulations and guidelines established by local governments and other authority entities for that purpose.
2. Compliance of the Personal Information Protection Rules
In accordance with the Canon Precision's own Personal Information Protection rules and other applicable regulations, the company establishes the optimum mechanism for protecting the information in each of its departments, which can meet the department's needs for protection corresponding to its business activity and size, in order to properly collect, use, and handle the information. The company quickly and appropriately responds to requests or inquiries from individuals for a review and correction of their personal information.
Furthermore, the company prohibits the use of the information beyond its intended purpose and lays the appropriate measure to prevent the misuse.
3. Securing accuracy and safety of personal information
The company shall endeavor to continue improvements to keep the personal information correct and updated. In order to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alternation and leakage, the company lays applicable safety and correction measures that leverage the information communication technology and the company's personal information management practices.
4. Response to complaints or inquiries
The company shall respond quickly and appropriately against the complaint or the inquiry in regards to the company's handling of the information or the personal information protection management system from the person himself/herself.
5. Development and continuous improvement of the personal information protection compliance program
The company shall make recognize the importance of protecting personal information to its management and employees, and is committed to develop, implement, maintain and continuously improve the personal information protection compliance program (including the Personal Information Protection Policy, Rules, Plans, Audits and revisions) in order to properly protect the information.
